Bilby 3D offers a range of 3D Printing Workshops and Information sessions based at our Sydney and Melbourne Training centres
We can also provide these sessions at your location (costs vary depending on class size and travel time).
Put simply, our courses are divided into two groups:

3D Printer Beginner Course – introduction to your 3D Printer and 3D Printing
This introduction session is delivered specific to the 3D Printer/s you have purchased it covers
- An introduction to the features of the brand specific slicer,
- How to slice a model with and without support
- Loading/unloading filament
- Bed levelling
- Changing tapes
- Different types of filaments for your machine
- Safety tips and general tips
Requirements: Projector or equivalent. 30 min set up time.
Max number of people: 5
Course Cost: $750 (per machine model)

Duration: 3 hours + (2 hrs for each additional model)
Using 3D Printers in the Classroom (High school curricula)
This seminar is designed specifically for teachers, to help inspire and provide practical applications for their 3D Printer across curricula areas.
It is not hands on and is delivered in a lecture setting and can be either cross curricula, or customised to specific study areas of :
● ARTS – covering design and fine art applications, developing props and finishing techniques. This would normally also include some practical component with regards to sanding, polishing, painting.
● ENGINEERING – incorporating some CAD plus project ideas that explore material tolerances, strength testing, friction resistance. This topic would normal include training in different materials and the properties in the perspective of fits and tolerances requirements, friction resistance, and High Temp annealing or other post print treatments for strength or UV resistance.
● HISTORY – Use of 3D Printing to replicate ancient artefacts, and art pieces and archaeology
● SCIENCE – Using 3D printing to design tests of velocity, wind resistance

Advanced Maintenance of your 3D Printer
This training courses provides participants with an in depth understanding of their3D Printers maintenance and servicing requirements, as well as (where appropriate) mods and upgrades to enhance performance.
Courses are customised to specific printer model/s
Usually run in regions, where representatives of each school attend at one central location. Most commonly head of 3D Printing and or machine maintained and repair.
Requirements: Projector or equivalent.
Table for props plus the organisations actual machine, which must be in working order prior to the course
30 min set up time.
Max number of people: 15 all with 3D Printing experience beyond beginner
Course Cost: $1000
$200 extra each additional model

By road: $100/50km, max 150km, includes transit from/to airports
Flights: Subject to market rates from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne
Accommodation : Required where travel + course is greater than a 6 hr
round trip to our nearest store/ the trainers place of residence.
