At the Bilby3D stand at Future Schools 2018, Lee Bilby introduces the current range of 3D Printers, and talks about the range of specialist filament including metals, wood and the new ProtoPasta Matte Fibre.
The FlashForge Inventor2 is great for use in Education - schools with STEM programs, with high print quality and layer down to 50microns
The Raise3D N2 Plus is a heavy duty printer for big prints and constant printing. This machine will print up to 305x305x610mm. Clarification: Most printers only go down to 100 micron layers = 0.1mm, this printer goes down to 10 microns = 0.01mm

Bilby 3D Brisbane Store Sponsors Chillitron Racing
Bilby3D believes in supporting schools whenever it can. IT is a sponsor of the Brisbane State High School team in the REA Foundation F1 in Schools Challenge
Providing 3D Printing services to the team, the team can now rapidly produce accurate models for their prototype and final racing cars using the latest in 3D Printing Technology. This contest is designed to encourage students to see the uses of their STEM subjects through their application in designing and building air-powered racing cars. These little cars travel a very high speeds along a causeway of a track to and electronically monitored finish.
The team did well in the Brisbane State Finals, qualifying for the National Titles held in Feb/Mar 2016 next year.

Bilby 3D has just officially opened their Sydney store and service centre. Brent Balinski spoke to co-owner Lee Bilby about the joys of being part of the 3D printing geek community, the democratisation of manufacturing offered by it, and about some newer printing materials.

ABC's The Mix at the Powerhouse Museum
Bilby3D partnered in the "Hack the Collection" Event at the PowerHouse Museum
Some of Sydney's finest up and coming designers took part in this week long event where they modified/hacked scans of items in the PowerHouse Museum's collection, then 3D printed them on a bank of Makerbot Replicator2's from Bilby3D.
ABS TV's arts program, "The Mix" did a show from the Museum, and you got to see the bank of 3D Printers ready to go
