PolyMide™ PA6-CF is a carbon fiber reinforced nylon (PA6) 3D printing material offering the highest strength, impact resistance and heat deflection of all Polymaker 3D printing materials.
FeaturesSpecsSupport
The carbon fiber reinforcement provides significantly improved stiffness, strength and heat resistance without affecting z-axis layer adhesion. Featuring a heat deflection temperature of 215°C, this material lends itself perfectly to functioning automotive applications where strength and heat resistance are required from the material.
PolyMide™ PA6-CF is also an ESD safe material making it a suitable candidate for printing electronic jigs and fixtures.

Nozzle Temp: 280-300°C Bed Temp: 25-50°C (do not exceed 50) Camber Temp: 25-50°C (do not exceed 50) Printing Speed: 60mm/s Cooling Fan: OFF Bed Surface: Almost any surface with a thin coat of PVA or 3DLac, flex plate recommended Wear Resistant Nozzle: Recommendedas the 20% chopped carbon fibers (by weight) is highly abrasive
Annealing: Recommended at 90°C for 2 hours Supports: PolyDissolve S1 recommended, remove supports as soon as printing completes as atmospheric moisture will cause the supports to bond better with the model, making them harder to remove. Feeding: This is a very stiff filament, and a little brittle, so a feeder tube and no corners in your feeding path are recommended. Moisture: PolyMide PA6 is very hydroscopic, so it will absorb moisture quickly from the air. a PolyBox or similar filament storage and feeding system is recommended. Moist filament can be dried at 80°C for 12 hours in a conventional oven.
Material Properties:
Heat Deflection Temp: 196°C (1.80 Mpa HDT-a) AND 215°C (0.45 Mp HDT-B) tested to ASTM D648 (ISO 75) Youngs Modulus: 7453 Mpa tested to ATSM D638 (ISO 527, GB/T 1040) Charpy Impact Resistance: 13.3 kJ/m2 tested to ASTM D256 (ISO 179, GB/T 1043) Tensile Strength: Thanks to PolyMakers Fiber Adhesion Technology, layer adhesion is improved by 27%, giving a tensile strength in the Z-axis of 67.7Mpa according to ASTM D638 (ISO 527, GB/T1040)
Extrusion Temp
We have run this material at 285 on various machines and had great results.
DO NOT HEAT BED ABOVE 50 DEGREES
Unlike other nylon products this material will warp if you over heat the bed. It is recommmended that bed temp is 25-50degrees. We have actually printed this on the Inventor 2 SE on a cold bed with great results.
We printed this on the Raise Pro 2 with a bed temp of 48 degrees c and using 3D Lac on the bed (generously).
UPDATE 15/6/21
Standard Buildtak can be difficult for adhession. Helen (Bilby 3D staff member) uses watered down Boncrete painted on buildtak as a very thin layer then uses Isopropyl Alcohol to remove print from bed.
She printed with a 0.4 nozzle at a 0.6 extrusion width, layer resolution of 200 micron for perfect prints, in a new polybox (which has a better seal than older models, internal humidity of 10%- room was 50%) through feeder tube from base of polybox to extruder direct (poly box high next to machine, no hood, 48deg bed, 290 degree extrusion temp believe 60mm/sec is viable and repeatable.
Helens take home message is buy just what you need as there is a massive difference between fresh filament and older material. Never try using a coil only spools. This product has no specific warranty. Bilby 3D will honor obligations under Australia Consumer Guarantee regulations if and where they apply to this product
PolyMide™ PA6-GF is a glass fiber reinforced Nylon (PA6) that offers outstanding mechanical properties, namely, impact strength and stiffness. The material exhibits excellent thermal and mechanical properties without sacrificing the layer adhesion. PolyMide™ PA6-GF can be used to print parts working in a wide temperature range and has been utilized to create custom lab equipment working at temperatures as low as -190°C.
CarbonX™ Carbon Fiber PA12 is made using high-modulus carbon fiber and a specialty Nylon 12 (PA12) that we chose for its printability, thermal properties, and chemical resistance. PA12 is widely used in a variety of industries due to its excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and wide processing window. This formulation ensures very low shrinkage in the printed part resulting in excellent dimensional stability. This makes CF-PA12 an excellent choice for tools, fixtures, and jigs.

PolyMaker PolyDissolve S1, 1.75mm, 750g
PolyDissolve™ S1 is a water dissolvable support for PLA, TPU, PVB and Nylon based filaments from Polymakers portfolio. It is specifically engineered to have a perfect interface with these materials while also displaying good solubility.
PolyMide™ PA612-CF is a carbon fiber reinforced nylon filament based on a copolymer of Nylon 6 and Nylon 12. Featuring 15% chopped carbon fibers by weight, this filament has lower moisture sensitivity compared to PA6/66 and PA6-based materials, and better mechanical properties than PA12-based materials.

Spectrum Nylon, PA6 Carbon Fibre, 1.75mm, 500g - UNTIL SOLD OUT
High temperature construction material
Nylon PA6 CF15 is a high-temperature, black, PA6-based construction material. Filling with 15% carbon fibres increases significantly the mechanical strength of the polyamide the material is based on. The filaments specific quality is the moisture absorption reduced by half and the water absorption time is four times lower than that of the pure PA6. Printing does not require a heated chamber and no deformation occurs. The material is compatible with the HIPS and BVOH support materials. In addition, Nylon PA6 CF15 features a very low linear shrinkage (up to 0.1%), a high deformation temperature (240°C), working temperature (180°C) and low thermal expansion coefficient (0.4 10-5/K).
