Polycarbonate (PC) filament is a professional-grade material engineered for maximum strength, heat resistance, and dimensional stability. It’s one of the toughest 3D printing filaments available, making it ideal for engineering applications, mechanical parts, and functional prototypes that must endure high stress or impact.
PC maintains its structural integrity at temperatures up to 110–130°C, and offers excellent resistance to deformation and cracking. It’s commonly used for automotive (underbonnet), tooling, brackets, enclosures, and production jigs where reliability under load is essential.
Because Polycarbonate requires high extrusion temperatures and consistent chamber heating, it performs best on industrial or enclosed 3D printers with an all-metal hotend. Models from Raise3D, AON3D, and Mingda handle PC exceptionally well.
Bilby3D’s range of PC filaments includes pure polycarbonate as well as blends for easier printing and reduced warping. Each spool is tested for consistent extrusion, clarity, and mechanical strength to ensure professional results.
