PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) and PEKK (Polyetherketoneketone) are high-performance thermoplastics used in the most demanding industrial applications — from aerospace and defence to medical implants, oil & gas, and automotive engineering. These materials offer exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, chemical resistance, and thermal stability, even under continuous load or high heat.
Both materials are capable of operating in temperatures up to and beyond 250°C, with excellent flame, smoke, and toxicity (FST) characteristics. PEKK typically offers slightly easier printability and greater dimensional stability, while PEEK is prized for its exceptional toughness and fatigue resistance.
Due to their high processing requirements, PEEK and PEKK filaments must be printed on industrial-grade 3D printers with a heated chamber (?120°C), high-temperature nozzles (?400°C), and actively controlled environments — such as the AON3D Hylo.
Bilby3D supplies certified PEEK and PEKK materials from trusted manufacturers, tested in-house for performance and reliability. We also provide guidance on print settings, post-processing, and printer compatibility for successful outcomes in production environments.
