A spare build unit is recommended for any production use, as it allows you to start the next print while you are waiting for the first build unit to cool.
The Build Unit includes an active cooling unit, bringing the cooling time down from 10+ hours to 2-4 (depending on how full the build unit is, and material used). It can be plugged into a wall outlet to power cooling, so it does not need to be plugged into the Cleaning station to power cooling. It can also raise/lower the cake in this mode.
