Industrial PPS CF, based on polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) and reinforced with 10wt.% carbon fiber, is a rare industrial-grade composite material in the FDM/FFF 3D printing field that simultaneously meets the high-temperature, chemical, and strength requirements.

• Excellent heat resistance: With an HDT of 260°C—well above the industry standard (typically HDT < 180°C)—this material is ideal for high-temperature environments like engine compartments and turbine components.
• Excellent chemical resistance: Resistant to corrosion from a variety of acids, bases, and organic solvents, eliminating the failure problem of traditional materials in chemically corrosive environments.
• Excellent mechanical properties: With a tensile strength of 60 MPa and a flexural modulus exceeding 4600 MPa, it provides solid structural support for aerospace, automotive, and industrial end-use components.

Recommended Print Settings

• Nozzle temperature (°C): 300°C
• Bed temperature (°C): 80°C
• Layer height (mm): 0.2-0.25 mm
• Printing speed (mm/s): 50-200 mm/s
• Cooling fan: On
• Drying temperature (°C): 80°C for 12 to 24 hours

Printing Notes:

• Dry PPS CF at 80°C for 12-24 hours before printing, as low moisture content is crucial for final printed part quality.
• After drying, we recommend storing PPS CF filaments inside Raise3D Filament Dry Box during the printing process.
• Abrasion of the brass nozzle happens frequently when printing PPS CF, at minimum a Steel nozzle should be used or preferably, a SiC nozzle or a Ruby nozzle.
