Properties of 3D filaments made of polycarbonate
Used in 3D printing, it offers unique properties in terms of robustness and impact resistance (even in hot environments) and has low inflammability. More resistant and lighter than glass, it offers very high mechanical resistance. It can therefore be used in all kinds of functional applications.
Printing profile: polycarbonate requires high printing and heated plate temperatures
Extrusion temperature: 295°C and requires the use of a heated plate (105°C).

Heat resistance (up to 140°C)
Food contact certification EU 10/2011, FDA 21 CFR
Complies with the REACH regulation and the RoHS directive
Compatible printers and the most common applications
Polycarbonate-based PC-S filaments are compatible with all FDM 3D printers able to reach a high extrusion temperature (295°C). They also have a wide range of utilization temperature (between 100°C and 140°C) and are sterilizable
The PC-S filaments are ideal for all applications requiring a certain level of robustness such as CDs and DVDs, motorcycle helmets, vehicle parts, glazing and parts used in the aerospace sector. Lastly, these filaments are approved for food contact applications (FDA certification 21-CFR 174.5)
Points to note
Risk of delamination/de-bonding
Small print format recommended
High-performance printer required (280°C to 320°C +)
High emission of toxic VOCs - Fume Extraction required
